Sydney Airport is committed to meeting its environmental and social obligations to minimise the impacts on the environment and local communities.
Sydney Airport operates in a highly regulated environment that covers all aspects of its business. Strict consultative processes are in place to satisfy environmental and social obligations. Airport projects undergo extensive social and environmental impact reviews throughout their life cycle.
As part of this, Sydney Airport ensures:
- Ongoing airport management - regular board reporting enables compliance with environmental requirements to be monitored and environmental and social responsibility issues to be identified;
- Stakeholder reporting - policies, social and environmental initiatives and compliance performance are reported internally and, where appropriate, externally.
