Sydney Airport: We Get You Where You’re Going
Want to learn to tango in Buenos Aires, eat from street food in regional China, take a meeting in Zurich or visit your family in rural New South Wales?
Our Route Network Planner allows passengers, airport greeters or anyone interested in planning a trip to see our regional, domestic and global flight map. The tool brings all possible flights coming to and from Sydney Airport to interactive life in a few easy steps.
STEP ONE

On the first Drop Down menu on the left, launch your virtual journey by selecting DESTINATION - enter city in space provided (or select from Sydney Airport’s full flight menu which will appear on your right).

If you want your search to include all possible routes between Sydney and your other destination, then click on ROUTES in the same Drop Down menu.

To finetune your search further, click on FLIGHTS to select a particular day for that flight.
STEP TWO
Enter any other applicable information in the space provided then click SEARCH.
- All applicable flights will appear on a right hand side menu.
- Your flight(s) will also be graphically represented as a map highlight.

Get More Out Of Your Map

CLICK on any one of your flight results in the right hand menu and information about the aircraft, travel time and schedule will appear.

NARROW DOWN your airline searches by clicking on the ‘with airline’ drop down menu on the left (‘all carriers is the default setting).

ZOOM in or out via our thumbnail remote control in the top left corner by pressing + or - and move the map in any direction with the arrows.

HIGHLIGHT your geographical area of interest by clicking and dragging it into the centre of the screen so the map will adjust accordingly.

SEE THE CITY by directing your mouse over each dot (as you zoom in more, these will appear automatically, as with Google maps).
You can also CUSTOMISE your display to suit by clicking on the cog icon on the bottom left hand corner e.g. SELECT YOUR OWN ROUTE DISPLAY: click on the ‘general’ tab in Settings to change how your route map is displayed

Direct flight - Is a flight that can make stopovers prior to its destination, but passengers do not disembark – i.e. BA15 - SYD – LHR makes a stopover in SIN.

Code share – When one journey is given two flight numbers because it is jointly operated by two airlines – i.e. QF11 – SYD – LAX code shares with AA (American Airlines).

Connecting flights – A journey where the passenger must change planes to reach their final destination.

MCT - Minimum connecting time.

Non-stop flight – A flight that goes directly from A to B without landing en-route – i.e. EK412 - SYD – DXB.
